EPDM Rubber Roofing

A cost-effective alternative, particularly suitable for flat roofs.

What is EPDM rubber roofing?

We specialize in EPDM rubber roofing, which is a cost-effective alternative to a tiled roof. This type of roofing is particularly suitable when the pitch of a tiled roof is not feasible. We can install EPDM rubber roofing with or without roof lights, depending on your preferences and requirements.

To ensure compliance with building regulations, we also provide insulation services for your roof. This will help maintain a comfortable temperature inside your conservatory and reduce energy consumption.

After the roofing installation, we offer two options for the internal finish. You can choose between a plasterboard finish and skim or an UPVC finish. Both options provide a clean and polished look to your conservatory's interior.

Our team of professionals is experienced in installing EPDM rubber roofing and will ensure a high-quality and durable result.

Installation Summary

When we arrive at your home, our installation works will look like this:

  1. Our skilled fitters will start by conducting a Conservatory Health Check/Survey when they arrive at your property.

Externally

  1. Removal of the existing polycarbonate / glass roof panels and old structure.
  2. Measure up the pitch and length size for the new rafters.
  3. Cut 6 x 2 treated timbers to correct size and pitch to suit roof style.
  4. Install all timbers using suitable fixings.
  5. Install earthwool insulation between the rafters, leaving a sufficient gap for the roof to breathe and enable air flow.
  6. 18mm OSB boards are fitted.
  7. A base layer of adhesive will be applied to the OSB board to allow the rubber membrane to adhere.
  8. Install the EPDM rubber roof in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
  9. Install all relevant trims, new lead work, vented fascias and guttering as agreed.

Internally

  1. We fix 'EcoQuilt 45' Multi-foil insulation over the internal rafters which has 11 multiple layers of foils and wadding. This helps prevent condensation and reduces heat loss by up to 95%. It also provides excellent sound insulation.
  2. Cladding board or plaster board is fitted to the underside of the rafters and plaster skimmed ready for painting.
  3. Your agreed lighting is installed.

Overall

  1. Finally, we'll clean up after ourselves by thoroughly vacuuming and wiping down all sides and removing all waste and rubbish.
  2. When we leave, we will have transformed your conservatory into a cozy living space that you can enjoy all year round.
  3. If you have any questions about the process, please just ask us or one of the fitters on the day.
  4. Please contact us to discuss Building Regulations.
