Your plaster-finished ceiling option

Match the appearance of your conservatory ceiling to the rest of your home.

The benefits of a plaster finish

Added control

When you choose a conservatory ceiling insulation with a plaster finish, not only will your conservatory stay warm in winter and cool in summer, but we will also match the appearance of the plaster to the rest of your home. That way, your conservatory appears fully integrated rather that an add-on.

We install fully insulated panels inside your existing conservatory roof to add a protective layer for effective climate control. The insulation panels are made of a multi-layered, extremely thermally efficient material with a U-value of just 0.2, meaning that the heat lost through the material is extremely low.

When the ceiling installation is complete, the shape of your conservatory ceiling will be maintained and you'll lose very little ceiling height.

Installation step by step

When we arrive at your home, our installation works will look like this:

  1. Our skilled fitters will start by conducting a Conservatory Health Check/Survey when they arrive at your property.
  2. For glass roof panels, we'll attach Protective UV Window Film to the underside. If you have a polycarbonate roof, this step is not necessary.
  3. Next, we'll attach a set of treated timber batten frames to the existing conservatory roof framework.
  4. We'll then apply our top-of-the-line 'Ecohome EcoQuilt Expert' or 'EcoQuilt 45' insulation, which has 11 multiple layers of foils and wadding. This helps prevent condensation and reduces heat loss by up to 95%. It also provides excellent sound insulation.
  5. This upgrade to our premium 11 layer EcoQuilt45 multi-foil insulation is absolutely free from March 1st to 31st May 2024!
  6. To secure the insulation in place, we'll attach a second set of timber batten frames, ensuring a tight and sag-free fit.
  7. For the finishing touch, we'll add lightweight uPVC Plastic Tongue and Groove Panelling in white, or if you prefer, a plaster finish ready for painting. Please note that a plaster finish is not recommended for conservatories with polycarbonate panels.
  8. With a UPVC finish, you'll receive a 10-year guarantee. A plasterboard finish comes with a 5-year guarantee.
  9. Finally, we'll clean up after ourselves by thoroughly vacuuming and wiping down all sides and removing all waste and rubbish.
  10. When we leave, we will have transformed your conservatory into a cozy living space that you can enjoy all year round. No planning permission is required for internal insulation and our work is LABC and BBA approved for your peace of mind.
  11. If you have any questions about the process, please just ask us or one of the fitters on the day.
